There is some talk of changes going on in Ethiopia that could greatly affect our adoption if they actually come to be. I'm not going to go into any details but we would ask for you to pray. Pray for the Ethiopian government, for the children of Ethiopia, for the orphans, and for the waiting families (like us).
Our hearts are pretty heavy with this "talk" right now but we are also hopeful in the Lord who has shown us time and time again that He is in control.
I had hoped to give you our March numbers by now but we haven't gotten them yet. If I post anything this week at all, it will be our numbers. Other than that, I am just going to spend my extra time praying.
From Jesus Calling last night:
"The One who goes ahead of you, opening up the way, is the same One who stays close and never lets go of your hand. I am not subject to limitations of time or space. I am everywhere at every time, ceaselessly working on your behalf." (so comforting!)
Psalm 37:3-7
"Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this; He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes...."
**If adoption is a picture of the gospel (and we know that it is) then of course, Satan is going to try to stop it. Please pray that the gospel will continue to be spread in Ethiopia through adoption. We serve an awesome and powerful God so pray EXPECTANTLY!!!**
Praying and fasting today!!!!
ReplyDeleteoh trust me, girl...we're praying like crazy over here. our hearts are broken over having held our baby only to find out that it could be many, many more months before we can bring him home (rather than this month like we were supposed to). we are praying for us, for you, and for many other families we know in our situation, and we are asking god to show himself powerful in this attack on adoption.
ReplyDeletepraying expectantly,
